Police say thieves who ripped copper piping from

gas meters outside homes at Llandudno could have caused a massive explosion with serious danger to lives. 

In an appeal to the public to be vigilant, police say gardens of two houses in Cwm Place have been targets with up to five metres of copper piping stolen. Had the gas not been switched off there would have been the potential for a big explosion.
