Bobby Vee is a genuine vinyl hit single candidate. IF YOU ARE FIFTY OR OVER YOU WILL REMEMBER SOME OF HIS SINGLES.Very popular in Britain and America but did also record in Italian, Spanish,and German and some of his hits are regularly played today even though his records only charted late fifties and early sixties. He continued recording without much luck and then generally toured in Sixties concerts in both America and Britain. BEATLES TOP TEN WORLDWIDE HIT SINGLES ON COLIN HOLMES EASY LISTENING SHOW 29th SEPTEMBER.After several months of trawling the Beatles hits in every country I think I have the ultimate beatles top ten single line-up. Because of their popularity in almost every country in the world....even those with out charts...I have an approximate top ten. It is pretty definitive because countries missed are only the small ones. Re releases of singles has also been a difficult problem with America and Britain .....some Beatles singles in Britain were constantly available for over twenty years.

Fred Flynne will be my guest next week on Tudnofm 107.8 on Sunday afternoon 2-4pm. Fred Flynne has a long tradition with Brass Bands as conductor and started in Llandudno as Musical Director for Llandudno Musical Players with the musical Sweet Charity. He has been M.D. for many musicals since and now travels the country to be Musical Director for other societies. Join us both next week when I will play tracks from shows he has been associated with.
