Hi guys, American Dave here with the lowdown on this weeks show, well, the search for Gary Carr continues, apparently he's got a dose of Montezuma's revenge also known as both ends burning, so this week we had a request and dedication show, I was joined once again by John Ivor who spent a lot of the time watching Manchester united on the TV so I decided to have a competition which, I was amazed to find, nobody got on the night, it's still running, the prize is a pair of tickets to the Paynes Reunion on November 15 at the Venue Cymru and all you need to do is answer the following question, what was the title of the song I played, who were the artistes and what year was it released, you'll need to listen to the first podcasts of the two we publish each week but unfortunately we're experiencing technical difficulties at the moment with posting the podcasts so please bear with us, Stop Press: PODCASTS ARE NOW AVAILABLE AGAIN FOR DOWNLOAD, Hoorah!!! you can get in touch with us at dave.hanson@tudnofm.co.uk or text me directly on 07772317743.
We had a good write up in the Pioneer this week, we're still looking for Dick or at least Haf Rowlands is, Dick Collins (or Collinson) I mean of course, we would love to get in touch with Dick again so if anyone knows where he is we'd love to hear from you.
Another item for the Christmas show which will be on the 10 of December is a spot we are calling "absent friends" where we will be phoning people from the Paynes scene of the late Sixties and early Seventies to find out where they are now, we've got our secret agents out so it could be you!!.
see you
American Dave

Hi guys, Gary Rowlands here with the lowdown on this week's show while American Dave (Mr Mischief) gets his breath back. Tonight's episode is a riot and gets up to full speed from the word go, from the live guests Haf Rowlands (Little Miss Tidy), Rachel Heneghan (Little Miss Bossy) and Robin Holden (Mister Cool) to the phone-in guests who included Carol Foster from Zomerzet, Norman Gardner from Leicester and Big E from Shotton who had phoned in from all over the country as a surprise caller for each of the studio guests and who were able to confuse them and even American Dave at one stage, Carol Foster was hilarious as Boston Betty, a supposed American Lawyer who was ringing to complain about Haf, considering Robin felt a bit nervous to start with, he took to it like a duck to water, the music picked by the guests was great as usual although what it said on the track list was not always what was on the record(I hold my hand up, I didn't know anyone else had done Green Onions but Booker T, just goes to show you) but for me, the most memorable part of the show was the laughter, but we reached a stage when Dave threatened to take Rachel's batteries out if she didn't stop being Bossy, the next show and maybe the one after that will be request shows with no guests but Dave would like to try a little competition to find the furthest person to phone in and the winner will get a 'goody bag' or at least a 'not all rubbish bag' as we are a charity and if its fun and laughter you're after, wait for the Christmas shows which will include more guests and will be extended to three hours, For requests or dedications, as always, contact us on: 01492 870249 by phone, Text us on 60300 (start your text with the word tudno)the latter on the night or email us at Dave.Hanson@tudnofm.co.uk (anytime) Don't forget to leave your comments, good or bad or any ideas for future shows, see you

Hi guys, American Dave here with the lowdown on this weeks show, what a great time we had with our latest guest Big E or Ed to his mates, (Mr Edward Sir to Gary) speaking of poor (old) Gary he was getting it in the neck from both of us, we had him brow beaten and run ragged but it was great to have Big E in with us, talking about the fun we had and leading us down memory lane with stories of curtains, pints of beer and curious men in long black leather coats and stove pipe hats, tip toeing round backstairs with cases of whisky?, we could not believe it when he mentioned it was all of 39 yrs ago!!! and the guest spots didn't end there, we had old friend Eddie Amoo joining us by the miracle of telephone, we had fun talking about the Real Thing AKA Vocal Perfection who were always a popular live band at Payne's, we were expecting to speak to Eddie's brother Chris as he was the one who had appeared most in Paynes but with Chris having a previous engagement, Eddie stepped in to chat to us and we had a good old chinwag. A lot of people I've spoken to have said that they didn't think it was Big E? what more can I say?, what planet are they on?; Anyway, lets get on to next week's show when the confirmed guests will be; Haf Rowlands and Robin Holden and a yet to be confirmed Mystery guest and of course there will be no Gary, Hurrah. We will be giving a prize to whoever can guess the mystery voice and I will have live phone-in guests from the past for the trio to talk to. Please let us know what you think of last nights show by sending us your comments. Ed has promised to come in again in the future so lets have some questions or reminiscences for him.
Don't forget our Christmas shows on the 10th and 17th of December with the YTS girls and the Polyfilla girls, we could do with a good name for the lads please (Ade, Sam, Gary and John).
see you
American Dave

Hi guys, American Dave here with the lowdown on this weeks show, what a great night it turned out to be, once more the emails, texts and telephone were ringing off the hook and the banter flying round between your hosts, American Dave and Gary Wyn kept the excitement at fever pitch, although no-one could tell, hopefully, we had quite a few guests in the studio, they will be coming in on another occasion but wanted to get a feel for the proceedings before hand. Everyone is waiting with bated breath for the show next week when we have...... Big E the legendary disc spinner from the Paynes nights will be live in the studio and also, we'll be having our phone-in interview with another star that all Paynes Patrons will be familiar with, I'm talking about Eddie Amoo from the group Vocal Perfection (modest too) who went on to become the Real Thing of course. Speaking of upcoming events I'd like to let you know about a couple more we've got planned, on Oct 22, Gary will unfortunately not be with us, (it's a shame I know) so we're going to fill up the studio with that well known balcony leaper and legendary heel-less boot dancer (stop laughing Corkish), Haf Rowlands for the girls and representing the lads will be Robin Holden, not to mention the Mystery guest joining us for the evening, keep listening to find out who it will be, then we'll be having a couple of Christmas themed shows, on the tenth of December we will have Janet and Sue and also Haf and Linda and a mystery girl to keep them all in line and then on the seventeenth of December we will be joined by Gary James, Sam Simpson and Ade Corkish so if you have any requests or dedications for any loved ones home or abroad for any of the shows please get them in early to avoid disappointment, you can ring or text 07811 323698 at any time or email on the night to dave.hanson@tudnofm.co.uk and the best thing about the Christmas shows is Gary will be otherwise engaged, Hurrah!!!!!!!! see you
American Dave
PS And a big thank you to Gary Rowlands for all his help.

Hi guys, American Dave here with the lowdown on this weeks show, what started as a flicker of an idea turned into an avalanche of texts, emails and phone calls as you all scrambled to get your requests in on time
and despite power cuts, a jammed CD deck and Gary cueing the wrong tracks up, we did manage to get through a lot of requests and dedications but unfortunately, we did have to leave some people out, mainly because we only had one phone line but we've sorted that out for next time, and amazingly, we can only have 50 people listening on the web at once for contractual reasons but I'll be sorting that out don't you worry, plans for the future include a variation on the American Dave Dating Agency which includes John and Sue among its early successes, a slot provisionally called "memory lane", a special guest show, very hush hush so watch this space, a soul Christmas special playing all the yuletide offerings of your favourites and last but not least, the 15 October show features Payne's DJ Big E and will have a live telephone interview with Eddie Amoo from the top pop combo, the Real Thing who were often live in Payne's as Vocal Perfection, any questions for either of our guests or if you just want requests or dedications, as always, contact us on: 01492 870249 by phone,(on the night) Text us on 60300 (start your text with the word tudno)(on the night) or email us at Dave.Hanson@tudnofm.co.uk (Before or on the night) Don't forget to leave your comments, good or bad or any ideas for future shows, see you American Dave
P.S.
A big thank you to Show Production Manager Gary Rowlands

The well known Cockney American from Junction Gary James was our guest tonight and what a sight he made as he arrived in his Big American Lincoln car, he had a lot of great stories to tell and the jokes even had Gary Carr laughing, we had never seen him smile before last night. The night doesn't go without any problems as we had brand new cds and Gary still couldn't get it to go right so now I'm training up the ladies to take over from him as you can see in the picture, the students prefer not to have Gary to train them as it always goes pear shaped when he's in charge of the desk. Don't forget you can listen to our shows now past and present and even the famous Edwin Starr show with the YTS Girls is available, just click on the link below for the podcasts. I will let you know who the guests are for next Wednesday in the next few days. Don't forget the charity 60's, 70's and motown night for St.David's Hospice at the Deganwy Castle on Sat 27th Sept 8pm till 2am Tickets £5.

American Dave

ps Thanks Gary for the lift home in the Lincoln better than Garys heap.

Wow, Fantastic news, we are now able to provide all the latest and some of the classic shows as a downloadable file, a 'podcast' if you will, click on the link below and you will be taken to a website that is hosting our shows, you'll see a list of available shows, (keep checking back as we are uploading them as soon as possible) and you can click on the play button to hear it straight away or click on the download link to download onto your desktop, you can then transfer it straight to your iPod for playing while you Jog? or just double click on it to hear it when it suits you, hope your all as excited as we are, don't forget tonight's show, on FM, streamed or podcastable about an hour after the show, have fun and don't forget to tell all your mates.

Gary was missing again due to him losing his voice, what a shame, we were supposed to be streaming the show for the first time after a long hiatus but would you believe it the gremlins got into the system and crashed the server, however, you can't keep a good station down and after a nifty bit of finagling we are back on for another try tonight (Lovetrain 11-12), hopefully all that is required is to simply click on the listen live link on the station home page. As we weren't sure if we were on line we pulled the show we had originally planned and put together another one at last minute we were able to get quests Janet Mcgill, linda Walters and Kevin Walters and he was so cool that he arrived dressed in his pyjamas as that's how he always listens to the show, we still had problems through the night with cd1 jumping all over the place but for all that we had a great time despite not being able to relax so we will do it again when everything is working properly we all enjoyed ourselves and some good stories were told we did miss you Gary(not). Please try and leave some comment good or bad and next weeks guest is the one and only Gary James.

Another great show, great music and plenty of talking from this weeks three guy get together, Gary had to have us holding his hand more than usual tonight, but he still made loads of mistakes.... so its back to DJ tech for us both, and even Ade had to bleep him in the show. Thank goodness he was a bit more relaxed, He's been a naughty boy lately, taking things off the blogs, so they will be going back on soon if we can find them!! but Lisa has promised to do him a special portrait as the face of a gorilla, that should be an improvement, Also, don't forget that American Dave's dating agency could soon be working it's romantic magic for John Ivor - watch this space! Stop press, everybody keep everything crossed, with a bit of luck, if we get the elastic band fixed we'll be able to stream the show across the web for World Wide distribution, Hoorah!!! Guests next week are the 'YTS Girls' Haf and Linda, and the 'Polyfilla Girls' Janet and Sue (that's if we are streaming on the net of course!) American Dave
